speed

speed, originally uploaded by Vanessa Sepulveda.

one of my most favorite gifts is a lens attachment(for my digital SLR) called lensbaby. it is a manuel focus lens that you have to squeeze. almost like bellows on a large format camera.. You can bend the lens to focus on certain points. This here is a picture i took with the attachment, of a old camera i have in the office. i did a little photoshopping with the color, and of course i did a little dodging and burning! but the blur is all from my baby!!!

Bridges

Nasai has always shown a big interest in Cities and how they function.. He has come to realize that a lot of major cities are surrounded be water and have major bridges. He has become infatuated by bridges. Chris and i decided to take him down to San Pedro to see the ones down there. It was a lot easier than taking him up to San Francisco, I know we will end up taking him, and to New York to see the Brooklyn Bridge. But right now we are taking small steps, before taking big leaps.

Loving Neighbors

Not to long a go Chris came home stating he thought that the neighbors behind us were doing a magazine shoot. We didn't think anything of it because the house is a very interesting house with lots of character. A couple of days later, Chris rushed in the backdoor and whispers "They are making a porn!" I laughed and wasn't sure if he was serious. He grab the camera and headed outside to take a few pictures to show me the truth..In one picture the man is against the door while the actress is on her knees doing only that one thing you do when you're on your knees.. scrubbing the floors!

Pumpkin patching!

ok i realized it's been awhile and i dont know who would bother reading this blog, i guess it's more for self preservation..
We spent some time in El Segundo, and ended up in Torrance picking pumpkins.. Nasai fed goats and rode on a pony, it seems he has a thing for animals and is not scared of them one bit.

Vacation

it's been awhile since I've posted. A lot has happened.
Hawaii was amazing, nasai did great. I wouldn't imagine that he would be so keen on traveling..
We went to the big island and stayed in a house in the country 45 mins south of Kona. We stayed in a village called Miloii, It was an old Japanese fishing village and was wiped out by lava. On our first day there we took a hike out to Honomalino bay. It is a black sand beach and we were all by ourselves.. The second day we went out to Kilauea. We walked a lava tube in complete darkness. We went to several beaches, and even went off roading in which Chris almost flipped the Jeep. We swam in tide pools, and went to a luau. it was a great vacation! I cant wait until we do another one..

a walk

IMG_0719, originally uploaded by Vanessa Sepulveda.

The past weekend we searched and searched for the Audubon Center in Debs Park. We finally found it and took a small hike. We were unprepared for hiking and were scared back due to all the poison oak we encountered. Along the hike we saw a old car. We looked and wondered how it got dumped along the trail.

some people feel different

IMG_0331, originally uploaded by Vanessa Sepulveda.

i was driving home from picking up Nasai. If you venture into the city, you cant miss the advertisement for the Sarah Marshall movie. this was cute. the Hate was white washed and replaced by a heart. This billboard is off Broadway in Chinatown.

a day, a day

It was a day to lolly-gag. breakfast, a stroll by a not soo pretty beach, laying around. i took some pictures of abandoned buildings along the beach walk. I will post them soon

in and out of the city of angels

this weekend we had a picnic in the park. We started off with the food, seeing that Chris and I were hungry. Nasai of course stated he wanted to play. We choose a spot next to the carousel, the organ played songs from the Sound of Music. Nasai bopped his head along to the sound of music. Soon after we got our tickets and on the carousel we rode. We choose to sit on the chairs instead of the horses. Chris and Nasai had smiles on their face as they stared at the paintings and the horses..Our trip to the park ended drama dramatically! Nasai darted off to the playground with out checking up on us to see if we were close behind.. When we caught up to him we sat him down to talk to him, letting him know what he did was wrong. But our words went in his one ear and out his other ear, and we left soon after with Nasai screaming and crying..

Conrads Diner

Sunday morning or just late afternoon. Sitting in a booth across from girls or strippers who have a to do list of things to do in life. Number one on their agenda is to enhance their tits. One girl questions "what happened to all natural?"
Maybe she is not getting the attention she wants from men!

A couple booths down is a pastor with more gold than I have ever owned. Great smile he has. He sits with a group of followers. I can't tell what they are talking about, but it might be how well the service went today. The pastor sits next to a younger follower with bleach blonde hair. His dark roots are definitely shown. Interesting place. Where stories have unveiled themselves. I sit here listening, observing the normalcy of their lives.

birthday cupcakes

cup cake, originally uploaded by m.a.r.c.o..

This lovely treat was made for Chris' birthday. I have been on an orange cream kick. I made orange cream cupcakes. The cake had orange zest baked in. The top was whipped cream frosting, decorated with orange sugar, orange zest, and a candied orange slice... Everyone thought they were delicious and shocked that i made them and didn't buy them..

attempt

this is the start of me attempting to blog. I've never done this. Let alone think that the life i live is intresting enough to keep others posted on the daily happenings in my life.. but here it goes. it never hurt anybody, and it certainly won't hurt me..
i have blogged but it was usually about love, happiness, despair. i wrote nonsense poems, and not the daily happenings in life..
